Transport
Q. How long will it take for
my car to be delivered?
A. As soon as we receive your
order our planners will allocate
the first suitable transporter.
We can advise an estimated
delivery schedule at the time you
place your order,
please ask.
Q. Where are your offices, can
I come to see you?
A. We are located in the Welsh
countryside just across the
border from Chester. All visitors
are welcome to view our
facilites, but please telephone
us before hand.
Q. I have a single car to
deliver OR I have four hundred
cars to deliver?
A. We cater for individuals,
major manufacturers and dealers
wishing to move any number of vehicles anywhere in
the UK or Europe.
Q. Can you transport vans and
trucks?
A. Sure, no problem.
Q. How many cars can you load
onto a transporter?
A. Depends on the size of the
cars obviously, but we have a
range of trucks capable of
carrying up to twelve cars at a
time.
Q. How do I know I can trust
your company with my car?
A. Car Collection Services
have been in the business of
vehicle transportation since
1949. Our highly trained drivers
have a damage bonus system as
part of their wages, ensuring
they take the greatest care of
your car. Just in case we carry
full goods in transit insurance
so in the event of a mistake, and
from time to time they do happen,
your car will be fully repaired
by an authorised reputable
company.
Q. My car is a non-runner, can
you still transport it?
A. Some of our trucks are
equiped with winches, so in most
cases is isn't a problem.
Q. Do you only transport
vehicles?
A. Yes, we prefer to stick to
what we're good at.
Q. I'm going treking around
the world and I need someone to
look after my classic car...?
A. Call us to discuss your
requirements, we can help you.
Registrations
Q. I have purchased a car from
outside the UK, can it be
registered with the DVLA?
A. In most cases, yes. We have
extensive experience in
registering imported vehicles
from all over the world. Our good
relationship with our local DVLA
office ensures that registrations
are completed quickly, typically
3/4 working days. If your car has
come in from outside of the
European Union and is less than
ten years old, it will need to go
through an SVA test (Single
Vehicle Approval). We can arrange
that too.
Q. I've imported a car but
don't have the time to register
it....
A. We can take over the entire
process, delivering the car to
you 'On the Road'.
Q. What are your fees for DVLA
registrations?
A. We charge £35+vat for
handling vehicle registrations.
We can also supply and fit number
plates at one of our compounds,
the charge for this is £20+vat.
Miscellaneous
Q. Do you sell cars?
A. No, at least not yet
anyway, but we can recommend some
very honourable and trusted
dealers both home and abroad.
Q. What types of payment do
you accept?
A. We accept all major credit
and bank cards, cheques, bank
transfers, and of course big
fistfulls of cash are also
welcome.
Q. Can I collect my newly
registered car from your
compound?
A. Yes, and we'll even put the
kettle on for you whilst you inspect your
new vehicle.
Q. Are you a member of any
industry bodies.
A. We are active members of
the 'Freight Transport
Association'.
Q. Do all of your drivers talk
to themselves?
A. No, just Brian. But we love
him anyway.
